Welcome to the Family!
STEP 1
A message from the owner
Welcome to the Krav Pro family. I am Richard Swords, the lead instructor and owner of Krav Pro Training Center. We are excited you have chosen us to learn the best in self-defense, while you get an awesome work out. The reason for this video is to introduce you to who we are and set you on the best path to success with your training. Krav Pro’s mission is to give more than we take, give more to our community, give more to our students and to teach you how to get more than you take to anyone who tries to harm you or your family.
In the next 90 days, our goal is for you to be efficient at the basics of Krav Maga, make sure you understand how self-defense works, and earn your yellow belt. The yellow belt is a representation of you completing the first phase of your Krav journey. Some things to remember, when you come into our facility, you want to check in on the iPad and grab your attendance card. Your attendance card helps you and the instructors stay accountable. Each time you come in to class, we will check off that you attended class and we will also know which techniques you trained on.
A couple things to do, number one, set your first goal and earn your first stripe. Around six classes will be rewarding you with your first stripe. When you get three stripes, we will start looking at you for your yellow belt. Number two, leave us a review. We would love to know how your experience is going here at Krav Pro and you can help us get the word out. We’re gonna be sending you another video real soon to explain how you can get even more involved. In the meantime, if there’s anything me or the Krav Pro team can do for you, please let us know.
Thanks for watching and see you on the mats!
BONUS VIDEO: HOW TO TIE A BELT
All right real quick, we’re going to show you how to tie your belt. It’s one of the most asked questions when people start.
So, you’re going to grab your white belt and you’re going to get the center of it and put the center on you and then you’re gonna wrap it around. From there, you want to take whatever belt is in your left hand and cross it over. I’m going to go underneath the entire belt and come back through. Now, I’m going to take that same one that I wrapped underneath, go over the top and then come through and pull straight.
All right, now that you’ve tied your belt, if you have any questions please feel free to grab an instructor and will help you out when you come in next time. See you on the mats!
